run node-xmpp-bosh over https (using ssl certificate)

I want to run node-xmpp-bosh using HTTPS for a secure connection on the www. domain (not a different (sub-)domain since the SSL certificate I have is only valid for this (sub-)domain), currently when I go to https://www.mydomain.com:5280/http-bind/ I get this message from chrome:
SSL connection error. Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have. Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.
Now this doesn’t suprise me since the process creates it’s own socket-listener and doesn’t use my apache process, but how can I configure this socket-listener to use my SSL certificate for https connections?
